  • 3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • 34 tablespoons milk or cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt; gradually add to wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in rolled oats until evenly distributed.
  6. Spread batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown around edges. Allow to cool completely.
  7. For icing, mix powdered sugar with milk or cream and vanilla until smooth; spread over cooled bars and cut into squares.
