  • 1 (14 oz) can full-fat coconut milk
  • 1 (15 oz) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients and cube the beef.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a heavy-bottomed pot over medium heat. Sear cubed beef until browned (5-7 minutes).
  3. Sauté chopped onion until translucent (3-4 minutes). Add minced garlic and grated ginger; cook for an additional minute.
  4. Stir in curry powder, cumin, turmeric, and cayenne pepper.
  5. Add coconut milk, beef broth, tomato paste; season with salt and pepper. Bring to a gentle boil then simmer for 25-30 minutes.
  6. For garlic naan: Combine flour, yogurt, warm water, sugar, and baking powder in a mixing bowl; knead until smooth.
  7. Divide dough into portions; roll out into flatbread shapes and cook on high heat until golden brown (2-3 minutes per side).
